5 Week Board Development Program:
$400 FWA Members
$500 Non-Members

In our ever growing desire to work with outside organizations, the FWA Not-for-Profit committee has a wonderful opportunity to offer in conjunction with the Arts & Business Council a Five Week Board Development Program. The purpose is to provide interested business people with the opportunity to become involved with arts organizations in a way that is both meaningful and satisfying and to provide worthy arts organizations with intelligent, informed and committed board members. The five evening sessions will consist of:
  1. The state of arts in NY
  2. Governance requirements of board members
  3. Accounting in the non-profit world
  4. Fund-Raising - the why and how, and
  5. Introduction to potential arts organizations as the initial step for individual board placement.

The 5 session board training cost is discounted for FWA Members to $400, Non-Member fee is $500.

Please contact Fran Smyth fsmyth@artsandbusiness-ny.org for more information and registration for the open house and/or this five week program.

The FWA Not-for-Profit Committee will be hosting a number of programs this year on
