The FWA and the Proskauer Rose Women’s Affinity Group bring you an interactive self defense workshop. Network with mid-level to senior level women executives while building life-saving and leadership skills.
Join Prepare, Inc. instructors as they lead you through the basics of personal safety with strangers and people you know. In this program, volunteers have the chance to practice the verbal and physical skills on a mock assailant wearing fully padded protective gear that allows full contact blows.
Participants are amazed by the positive effects that Prepare, Inc.’s course has. Although the physical safety skills are often the highlight of the program, the classes cover more than just how to stay safe or how to intervene in a confrontation. Graduates often bring the same feeling of safety and empowerment, and communication skills into their daily personal and professional lives, and as a result feel more confident, relaxed -prepared to handle life’s challenges and stresses.
Prepare, Inc.'s training method is innovative, and highly interactive. The human response to fear, crisis, challenge or stress is a rush of adrenaline and it much more difficult to think clearly and problem-solve while in this state. What distinguishes Prepare from other programs is that we simulate real life scenarios -participants experience the adrenal state and learn how to listen and think more carefully, as well as problem solve and give direction in the adrenal state.
