On December 2, 2015, the Financial Women’s Association celebrated its 60th Anniversary with Asian Flair at the Consulate of Singapore. A mix of more than 150 successful, diverse, business professionals circulated throughout the hall, sipping libations and enjoying conversation about the latest trends in capital gains and gross market share values.
The FWA’s Gala Holiday Celebration kicked off the Annual International Business Conference in Singapore and Hong Kong, which takes place March 14 – 20, 2016. A portion of the registration fees for the Gala Holiday Celebration will support the FWA’s many mentoring and scholarship programs, which have benefited over 6,000 individuals to date. To mark the occasion the Consulate was bejeweled with a touch of Asian décor, a cellist and delightful soy glazed roasted chicken skewers as well as succulent seared Salmon finger treats.
This event was an opportunity for FWA members and guests to bond over cocktails and join in on conversation about Singapore. FWA President, Katrin Dambrot, offered a heartfelt welcome to members of the Association and even left the crowd in laughter with anecdotes about the problems women face in the workplace.
The Annual Business Conference will feature open panel discussions about the role of women in the financial market, financial literacy and economic growth. Guest speakers for the Conference could not be confirmed as of the date of this article’s publication, however, the FWA is still taking registrations on a first come basis and with a full payment of $1,500.00.
