Sara Mathew, former CEO and Chairman of the Board of Dun & Bradstreet chronicles her career using a metaphor of a destination, journey, and path. From being raised in India, to coming to this country, to rising rapidly through the ranks at P&G, to assuming significant and challenging positions at Dun and Bradstreet, to becoming a board member, Sara adeptly applies the metaphor to her career, the critical decisions she made, as well as the learnings she had. At a roundtable luncheon on Wednesday, August 10th with the 2015 and 2016 FWA Pacesetter classes, Sara shared her background and insights in her crisp, direct way and peppered it with humor and anecdotes. Her ability to weave interesting stories with real life learnings kept the Pacesetters engaged and full of questions.
The luncheon was hosted by BMO Capital Markets, an FWA President’s Circle company and significant corporate supporter of FWA programs, and Michael Cippoletti, Managing Director and head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets, welcomed the participants and introduced Sara. The Pacesetters were also joined by Katrin Dambrot, FWA President, and Kim Hanson, Director of U.S. Marketing at BMO Capital Markets and an FWA Board Member.
