Earlier this month, the Wall Street Exchange (WSE) program celebrated another summer of success, rejoicing in the graduation of students from several undergraduate colleges around the country. The end-of-the-summer event at McGraw Hill Financial featured FWA’s President-Elect Ria Davis and Stacy Lauren Musi, co-chair of the President’s Circle Committee as guest speakers.
The WSE program, run by the College Connections/WSE committee, has been enrolling college students for professional and leadership development since 1976. This year, the program welcomed the sponsorship of nine corporations: BNP Paribas, MUFG, BNY Mellon, BMO Capital Markets, UBS, Prudential, DTCC, and McGraw Hill. Events are held on-site at sponsoring firms and are hosted by their respective employees. Students of the program benefit from sessions focusing on topics related to interviewing, different career options in financial services, and gaining a full-time job offer. The 2015 cohort also marked noteworthy participation from students with STEM (science, math, engineering, and technology) backgrounds.
Beginning in June and ending in early August, the WSE program runs one evening event per week. The application process begins again in spring 2016 and is open to undergraduate rising seniors who are planning to intern in the New York City area.
