The FWA provides several forums that Members benefit from having front row seats to key leaders across the industry ranging from CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, published authors and key innovators to thought leaders in technology, government and beyond. In effect, Members then learn how these leaders perceive and resolve key strategic issues, are able to share success stories of accomplished women leaders, and hear how corporations promote the capabilities and potential of female executives. Enlightening Q&A sessions are also held to engage Members with speakers in sharing best practices and lessons learned.
Our committees range from hosting larger events featuring C-suite leaders to bringing powerful advocacy to diversify corporate board rooms both here in the U.S. and around the world. Additionally, there is a committee geared toward very senior women with customized and unique settings for higher pricing to have an invitation only offering.
In addition, for nearly 30 years the FWA has named Public and Private Sector Women of the Year for their achievements, leadership and professionalism. These women are truly trailblazers, role models and a unique and invaluable source of wisdom and inspiration for our Members and the industry. The FWA Woman of the Year awards are presented at the Annual Dinner, the FWA’s major fundraising activity for its nationally acclaimed scholarship, mentoring and summer training, reaching more than 6,000 students and young professionals.
