Did you know that there are far more male portfolio managers (PMs) than female? New research reveals the gap continues to widen since 2009 and currently, only 6.7% or 489, make up nearly 7,300 managers as of November 2014.
Additionally, the percentage of fund with at least one PM has fallen. In 2009, 21.6% or 1,441, of the 6,667 U.S. open-ended mutual funds had at least one female manager. In 2014, only 17% or 1,306, of the 7, 696 funds had at least one PM.
