Volunteer for the Financial Backpack Program!

The Financial Backpack program is a fantastic way for FWA members to become involved in financial education for high school students.  We are inviting members to volunteer for the upcoming workshop on Saturday, December 8th (8 am – 12 pm) at Martin Luther King H.S.* for students in the Virtual Enterprise program. Any member who is interested in financial literacy can participate.

We will have a training session on Tuesday, December 4th at 6 pm at Martin Luther King H.S. to familiarize volunteers with the curriculum and format of the workshop.  This session is open to anyone interested in learning more about Financial Backpack, even if you cannot attend on December 8th.

To sign up for the December 4th training session and/or the December 8th workshop, please contact our Program Coordinator at: Financial-Backpack@fwa.org.  Participating is a great way to practice presentation skills while also sharing your knowledge with future entrepreneurs.

If you have specific questions, you can also contact the Financial Backpack Co-chairs: Suzanne Matthews: Suzanne.matthews@sunywcc.edu and Lindsay Starr: Lindsaystarr1@yahoo.com.

Looking forward to working together on an outstanding Financial Backpack series!
