High School Mentee Graduation Day Highlights

On Monday, June 24th, 2019 the High School of Economics & Finance held its commencement exercises for their 23rd graduating class. The graduation ceremony was held at The Great Hall of the Cooper Union in downtown Manhattan. The graduation was a joyous occasion celebrating the accomplishments of the 146 graduating seniors, loudly cheered on by their families. The Keynote speaker, the Salutatorian, and Valedictorian all give energetic and stirring speeches.

One of the highlights of the program was the announcement of the various scholarships and their recipients. Beth Dorfman, Chair of Education Initiatives for the FWA, presented the scholarships to the seven graduating seniors – sharing that each of them will be receiving a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 this year. She went on to add that if the students maintain their eligibility throughout their 4 years in school the FWA will award a total of $140,000 in scholarships to these 7 recipients.

Beth Dorfman, Mentoring Chair, is proud of her graduating mentees.
