Join the FWA to commemorate the upcoming 5th Anniversary of the U.S. Space Force. The event will feature insightful remarks and a stimulating discussion with Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt, the highest-ranking woman in the U.S. Space Force.

Lieutenant General DeAnna M. Burt, the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Operations, Cyber, and Nuclear at the United States Space Force headquarters at the Pentagon, holds a pivotal role. As the Chief Operations Officer, General Burt has overall responsibility for Operations, Sustainment, Cyber, and Nuclear Operations of the service. 

Lt. Gen. will address the following:

•    Significance of the Space Force approaching its 5th birthday in December 2024
•    Importance of space superiority to national security and the financial industry 
•    Major changes and increasing threats in the space domain and the potential impact to the financial industry
•    Why we need a military service dedicated to the space domain
•    Her barrier-breaking career and advice to propel your career forward 

Lt. Gen. Burt was commissioned in 1991 as a distinguished Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Her career has included numerous satellite operations and staff positions in Air Force Space Command and U.S. European Command. She is a graduate and former U.S. Air Force Weapons School instructor and a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Prior to her current assignment, Lt. Gen. Burt was the Commander of the Combined Forces Space Component Command, U.S. Space Command, and Vice Commander of the Space Operations Command, U.S. Space Force.
