Description:
Join our panelists as they discuss the global energy transition from fossil fuel-based systems to renewable and low-carbon alternatives, driven by the need to mitigate climate change, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ensure sustainable development. These experts will explain how the technological, economic, policy and geopolitical factors across regions are resulting in energy addition – not pure transition – leading to a more diverse energy mix.
Key topics include changing and expanding energy production, improving energy storage, enhancing energy distribution and transitioning to electricity-based systems.
Learn about the significant advancements that have been made as well as the hurdles facing energy transition. Notable challenges include balancing energy security with decarbonization, modernizing outdated infrastructure, securing critical materials such as lithium and copper for renewable technologies, project delays, policy uncertainty and grid constraints.
Come away with an understanding of transition finance, investment challenges and opportunities, future energy trends, energy transition in the global north vs. south and the impact of the Trump administration’s policies on the evolving landscape.
