FWA Scholars

FWA Scholars

FWA Undergraduate Scholars are graduates of the FWA mentoring and college readiness program at the High School of Economics & Finance. Established in 1986, this program is one of the longest-running New York City School mentoring partnerships. Each year, up to 10 sophomores enter the program and receive support through graduation. We are proud to report that 100% of our students graduate from high school and attend college.

After graduation, mentees are eligible to apply for our FWA Scholars Program, which provides scholarship funding of up to $20,000 ($5,000 per year), stipend support for books and supplies, access to leadership conferences, 1:1 professional coaching sessions, and quarterly check-in and networking meetings.

The FWA office provides oversight for the scholarships awarded to current mentees and renewing mentees that meet the renewal requirements for an additional scholarship award.
